The stories of very successful people who have gone through radical career transitions and who, in their narrative, describe a process of self-discovery and change of perspective that is fundamental to ontological coaching.

Their stories demonstrate how a change in their "way of being" (their language, their emotions, their beliefs) was the key to their success.

Let's continue with...

Jeff Bezos: From Wall Street Vice President to Sales Visionary

In the early 1990s, Jeff Bezos was a brilliant finance professional, a senior vice president at the investment bank D.E. Shaw.

He had a high-status job, an enviable salary and a promising future on Wall Street.

He was on the cusp of one of the most lucrative careers in the world.

Bezos faced an existential dilemma.

As he researched the growth of the Internet, he wondered if he would regret in the future not having been part of that revolution.

At that time, he formulated what he called the “Regret Minimization Framework.

This is a clear example of an ontological process: he did not ask himself “what should I do now”, but “what kind of person will I be when I am 80 years old and look back”.

This exercise of projecting his “being” into the future gave him the clarity to make a radical decision.

Leaving a stable job for an uncertain idea required a profound change in the way he looked at risk, success and failure.

With a new vision for himself and the world, Bezos quit his job, moved to Seattle and founded Amazon in a garage.

His ability to sustain a long-term vision, to “be” a company focused on the customer above all else, was key.

This change in professional identity not only brought him success, but redefined global commerce forever.

What's the use of filling yourself materially with everything you "need" if you are not really satisfied with all the capacity you can give, if you are not achieving your dreams but those of another, this story inspires us to work on our values, regardless of others do not, what matters is your tranquility and peace of mind...

Tell us what you think about the two stories of successful and well-known people, who would you like us to talk about who has an inspiring story?

If you haven't read the first part, here it is!
